Lonely Death Becomes More Popular in America

Over the past few years death scene clean up companies have noticed a steady increase in calls requesting clean up of unattended death scenes.  Some time ago the National Institute of Population and Social Security Research indicated that by the year 2030 nearly 40 percent of all households in the United States would be single-person households.  With these numbers rapidly increasing it’s only natural that the number of unattended deaths would be on the rise.

Bio Clean Services provides clean up and decontamination services at these types of death scenes as well as trauma, suicide, accident scenes and more. Requests for our services generally come from immediate family members or close relatives. It’s common that these corpse are not discovered for weeks or sometimes months after the death has occurred.  It’s also not uncommon for us to receive requests from landlords and property managers as many of these individuals die with no children or family.

We offer professional clean up services in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. Our technicians are very compassionate with the families of the deceased.  The emotional toil is generally much higher in a situation like this because the family members had no knowledge of the passing and a certain element of guilt is involved.  We are accustomed to working in a manner to help facilitate a quick clean up and restoration and assist the family members or property owners with the necessary procedures that must be followed before and after the remediation.  The protocol for clean up can vary depending on the amount of damage and the length of time that the body has been unattended.
Several of the requests we receive are also from care managers, helpers or sometimes municipalities asking for help cleaning the dwellings of elderly people who live alone. These individuals usually have huge garbage accumulations. Many of these individuals were men in their 50’s or 60’s with no job or real family to speak of.

Bio Clean Services also provides clean up services in homes of people who have died in facilities, but left their home unattended, full of garbage and have generally unsanitary living conditions.  This is common with the elderly and given the unknown circumstances, it is advised that individuals not attempt to clean these areas.  These scenes are usually tremendous breeding grounds for biohazards and must be professionally cleaned and decontaminated for the safety of family or property owners.
If you, or someone you know, are in need of our services please contact us immediately. Bio Clean Services offers 24 hour and emergency dispatch in our service areas.
