With holidays approaching, this is the time each year that we see an increase in calls for Suicide Cleanup Services. The holiday months, coupled with colder temperatures, may people suffering from depression and mental illness become less active and families are faced with the responsibility of dealing with the aftermath of death and suicide.
This is an extremely emotional time for someone responsible for the cleanup and removal of death and suicide biohazards. Bio Clean Services is a certified biohazard cleanup company that provides these services to families and property owners who need death and suicide cleanup.
Because the health conditions of the deceased are seldom known and often the presence of drugs are involved, it is important that you hire a certified company that can professionally remediate any traces of biohazards from your property. Most clients experience an astounding amount of grief during this time and are incapable of dealing with the cleanup of these types of scenes. The potential for dangerous biohazards and health compromises arising from biohazard cleanup is too risky for an untrained person to attempt any form of cleanup.
Bio Clean Services technicians maintain all of the proper equipment and specialize training to aide families and property owners during these difficult times. We are endorsed by many police departments and agencies in your local areas and have two decades of experiences in serving victims of crime and tragedy.
If you or someone you know is faced with the responsibility of death or suicide aftermath, contact us immediately for assistance. Most insurances cover the costs of these types of cleanup jobs and our emergency dispatch service technicians can help you with the proper processes and protocols that you will be required to follow.

5 important steps to take immediately after a biohazard incident
You never know when you will be the subject of an incident related to crime, trauma, death, blood or other biohazard endangerment. For most of us, we go about our everyday life not giving thought to the possibilities of the “What If’s” actually happening.
Bio Clean Services provides cleanup and decontamination of biohazard sites such as these every day. All across the country hundreds of people, many just like you, are faced with the responsibility of cleanup of biohazard sites. From auto accidents, to medical emergencies to deaths or suicides, our team of trained experts are here to assist you with the cleanup and remediation of biohazard scenes. The following are 5 important steps that should be taken if you are faced with a biohazard situation:
1. Never attempt to clean the site on your own. Biohazard scenes could contain potentially deadly microorganisms that could compromise your health. Seal off the immediate area as much as possible to avoid anyone having contact.
2. Call a certified biohazard cleanup company. If possible, always select a local company like Bio Clean Services. Local companies are most likely independently owned and offer better services than a company located hours away.
3. Remove all persons from the affected area including pets. The less the affected area is disturbed, the easier cleanup can be and there is less chance of transmission of any diseases that may be present.
4. If you are not the property owner, contact the property owner immediately. Property owners may carry special insurances that will assist in the cost of biohazard cleanup. If not, it may still be the residents responsibility for cleanup but the property owner must be notified as the biohazard cleanup company will have to have their authorization to enter the property and perform services.
5. Allow the cleanup company to do their job. In many cases, biohazard scenes involve some form of trauma. It is usually and extremely emotional time for the victims family members or friends. Keeping people away from the scene lessens the trauma of the situation and allows workers to perform their tasks safely and effectively. There may be a need to remove personal items and effect from the scene. If you are the responsible party, you’ll have to realize that some items cannot be decontaminated and the only way to ensure a safe clean up is to remove the items from the scene. You cannot have any emotional attachment to items that must be removed. For your safety and preservation of your health, these items must be disposed of following strict biohazard disposal protocols. Again, if you restrict access to the scene, you are less likely to have emotional struggles over items that bust be disposed of.
Every biohazard scene requiring cleanup is different, some scene are more dangerous than others and the determination of types of cleanup needed should be left to trained professionals. If you or someone you know experiences a biohazard situation, call our office immediately at 1-800-901-2988 for assistance.

Violent Crimes and Carjacking Biohazards
![]() |
| Courtesy of Chicago News Report |
Often times with automobile crimes we find that we have to remove and replace parts of the automobile to ensure that the vehicle is completely free of all biohazard materials. This may include removal and replacement of seats, carpeting, dashes, consoles and other pieces. If as little as one or two tiny blood drops are missed during the cleanup may cause infectious pathogens that can affect the health of anyone that may come in contact with it. There is also the possibility of bad odors and the attraction of bugs and insects that are extremely difficult to remove.
Bio Clean Services also receives frequent calls to provide the same cleaning and sanitation services on police transport and other emergency vehicles. Any time these transport vehicles contain biohazards such as blood, vomit, feces, urine or other biohazards, they must be removed from service and properly cleaned and sanitized before they can be used again. Police and other emergency departments are now employing professional companies like ours to perform these cleanup services as it is too costly to maintain personnel and certifications for staff members to perform the cleanup. They have also found that there is less liability in hiring a professional cleanup company like Bio Clean Services because we are specifically trained for what we do, maintain all necessary permits and certifications and can offer the assurance that these vehicles are safe and returned to service as quick as possible.
If you or someone you know is the victim of a violent carjacking crime or you need professional biohazard cleanup services, contact our office immediately. We offer 24 hour emergency dispatch to serve our clients.

Industrial Accidents and What Employers and Owners Should Know
Many American businesses run smoothly each and every day but if you own an industrial business you can expect at some point to be faced with some sort of severe accident, trauma or death in the workplace. Bio Clean Services provides cleaning for these types of industrial incidents all through the northeastern US.
Due to the liability, rigid regulations and most of all the emotional trauma when these accidents happen, a professional cleanup company like Bio Clean Services should always be hired to clean the accident scene. Most workplace or industrial accidents take place in areas that directly affect other employees or in some instances the general public. If the accident scene is not professionally remediated by a certified biohazard cleaning company and someone’s health is compromised as a result of inadequate cleanup, the property owner or it’s tenant may be liable.
As with any incident that involves blood, tissue, bodily fluids and other biohazards, it is critical that the scene be cleaned following protocols set by State and local authorities for removal and disposal. These types of pathogens may be disturbed if improperly cleaned causing them to become airborne where they may possibly be ingested by others in certain proximity to the incident scene. Depending on the circumstances, these biohazard materials could carry infectious diseases that are life threatening or fatal to those who are exposed.
If you are the responsible party for the cleanup and it’s determined that you did not adequately remediate the incident scene, you can be liable for any person(s) who are affected. Our staff of certified biohazard technicians are available 24 hours a day for immediate response dispatch. In the event that you experience any type of industrial or workplace accidents where other personnel are involved, call the appropriate emergency response personnel, evacuate the area of the incident and contact our office immediately to schedule cleanup.
After emergency personnel or authorities leave, there is most always waste, tissue, blood and other substances left behind. Rarely do emergency personnel take the time to alert you of potential hazards or who to call to handle the cleanup. We suggest that all business and industrial companies maintain an emergency checklist of who to contact as soon as an incident occurs.

Burglary Crime Scene Clean Up - The Hidden Hazards
When a crime occurs in a residential home or place of business, the aftermath can be overwhelming. The biohazard materials left behind depend on the severity of the intrusion and whether or not violence with occupants are involved. Even if no physical violence occurs, intruders can still leave behind certain biohazards from broken glass, wooden splinters and often times we find the presence of bodily fluids from vandals that damage a property.
The stressful cleanup of these types of aftermath require a professional company like Bio Clean Services to remove all biohazards and restore properties to a pre-incident state. When intrusions are violent and involve a homicide, the evidence of biohazards is usually evident. In other cases, the use of special equipment is necessary to discover the trace elements of any biohazard materials left behind.
Bio Clean Services maintains all equipment necessary and is experienced in the cleanup of death, suicide, blood, trauma and various types of crime scenes. Individuals, apartment managers and even general janitorial or cleaning companies are not equipped to handle this type of cleanup and to protect their health and the health of others, we advise that these scenes should not be cleaned by anyone without specific training, knowledge of biohazard removal and disposal or protocol of Federal and State guidelines.
Cleaning of most types of crime scenes involves the use of personal safety equipment to protect yourself from blood, waste and other pathogens that may be present. Certified biohazard cleanup companies like Bio Clean Services use highly advanced sanitation equipment and effective EPA approved industrial cleaning chemicals or solutions that ensure your property is completely decontaminated and returned to a habitable state. Any objects that come into contact with these biohazards must be cleaned, sanitized or in extreme cases removed from the scene. Some materials can be handled in a simple medical waste box while others require proper removal protocols so they do not pose a health threat to the public. In either event, if you attempt to clean a scene like this on your own and do not follow proper protocol, you may find yourself liable for health risks that may affect other people.
If you need more information about our services, contact our office for a complete list of our biohazard services and the areas in the Northeastern United States that we serve.

Is there a common connection in Bankers committing suicide?
In the 1930’s bankers who committed suicide were commonly known as “jumpers” as the fought to maintain the pressures of failing businesses. It’s the same cliché today, so is there a common connection? Large public polls show that the general population are angry at large banks who were bailed out during our economic collapse (much like they are at congress).
Most bankers start their career at a very early age and fight to rise to the top of their industry. If they only knew that their rise to the top only numbered their days. It’s a stressful and very volatile position that can take its toll on the mental state of mind of these professionals, and the common and unfortunate end result seems to be suicide.

Bio Clean Services gets calls to perform the clean up and bio-hazardous remediation in scenes like this frequently. Suicides (accidents in the workplace) are more common than anyone would imagine. Our technicians are experienced in trauma, death, suicide and murder / crime scenes. From blood removal, to clean up of bodily fluids and matter, we perform these tasks discreetly and with the utmost confidentiality. We realize the importance of restoring these scenes and getting the area back to a normal, functioning condition as soon as possible. It’s an emotional time and we work diligently to provide expedient services that do not impede the normal business activities.
These cases are all sad and tragic incidents and Bio Clean Services is certified and experienced in working with authorities and professionals in work places to help keep the trauma of co-workers or co-tenants to a minimum, while resorting the accident scenes. We provide 24 hour, 7 day per week emergency dispatch to these types of scenes.
Because of the recent rise of suspected and know suicides among banking executives, we have to wonder what the direct relating cause is. Recently, more larger financial institutions have insisted on executives taking more time off and providing better working conditions and benefits for their employees. Our company is always disturbed by receiving calls to scenes of such promising, often very young victims of suicide.
For more information on suicide preventions, please refer to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Contact our office for more information about the services we provide and how we can help.

What are the dangers of synthetic marijuana uses and their biohazards
Synthetic marijuana is marketed as a legal “high” in today’s society and the deaths and serious Illnesses from its use are on the rise. Commonly called Spice, No More Mr. Nice Guy and K2 ( or hundreds of others ) these drugs are legally marketed for sale and can be obtained by most everyone in neighborhood convenience stores, smoke shops and other retailers across the country.
Although marketed as a legal marijuana in reality it’s very different from the natural cannabis that smokers enjoy. The synthetic version contains powerful chemicals called “cannabimimetics” that can cause serious health effects and possibly death. These drugs are not tested for safety and uses have no idea what they are putting into their bodies when using them. In addition to the synthetic drugs being highly addictive, health effects from the drugs can be serious and possibly fatal and have symptoms including:
• Nausea and vomiting
• Increased heart rate and higher blood pressure
• Agitation and Anxiety
• Seizures, Tremors and muscle spasms
• Hallucinations and psychotic episodes
• Suicidal and harmful thoughts & actions
• Death
This drug is wreaking havoc on our youth especially and has been labeled by many state and federal government officials as a public health risk and a hazard to public safety. There has been a huge influx of calls to poison centers in the past 2 years yet this drug remains an unattended problem.
Bio Clean Services offers services that deal with the trauma and clean up of deaths associated from this and other drug uses. We are also trained to clean up meth labs and other biohazard areas which may be contaminated by illegal drug manufacturing and the deaths and trauma associated with it.
If you know someone who is using this or other illegal drugs we urge you to seek help for these individuals immediately. Should you find yourself in need of our decontamination, death or suicide clean up services, contact our office immediately. We have technicians standing by to provide services 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

An alarming rise in suicides of the baby boomers generation, Why?
Numerous factors attribute to the cause of suicides and a large majority would say that it can be attributed to the economic meltdown in our country. The health and overall fitness of the baby boomer generation has deteriorated greatly and a large number of these statistics indicate that the victimswere medically ill, taking depression medication, fighting high blood pressure, on disability and overwhelmed with credit card and other types of debt.
General consensus is that the victims life now “Isn’t what they envisioned” it would be at this age. Most of these people were in young adulthood in the 1960’s and 1970’s and that was an era that people were much more in tune with others and people helped other people. Today, it’s a dog eat dog world motivated by money and the quest to “achieve” and the children and long time friends of the baby boomers are no exception.
The increased suicide rates are ordinarily male, elderly and alone with health and financial issues. Because of social isolation and the feeling of being alone and abandoned, these victims take their life as they don’t see an importance in “fighting the fight” to survive in the world any longer.
Bio Clean Services gets frequent calls to provide death clean up services for families of suicide victims. Many of the scenes we’re called to clean are unattended death scenes where no one knew that the victim had been dead for days, and in certain cases weeks to months. We are certified in these types of cleanup jobs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.
Contact our office today to learn more about the services that our company provides and our service areas. We perform biohazard clean up services in both commercial and residential settings with immediate technician dispatch 7 days per week.

Lonely Death Becomes More Popular in America
Over the past few years death scene clean up companies have noticed a steady increase in calls requesting clean up of unattended death scenes. Some time ago the National Institute of Population and Social Security Research indicated that by the year 2030 nearly 40 percent of all households in the United States would be single-person households. With these numbers rapidly increasing it’s only natural that the number of unattended deaths would be on the rise.
Bio Clean Services provides clean up and decontamination services at these types of death scenes as well as trauma, suicide, accident scenes and more. Requests for our services generally come from immediate family members or close relatives. It’s common that these corpse are not discovered for weeks or sometimes months after the death has occurred. It’s also not uncommon for us to receive requests from landlords and property managers as many of these individuals die with no children or family.
We offer professional clean up services in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. Our technicians are very compassionate with the families of the deceased. The emotional toil is generally much higher in a situation like this because the family members had no knowledge of the passing and a certain element of guilt is involved. We are accustomed to working in a manner to help facilitate a quick clean up and restoration and assist the family members or property owners with the necessary procedures that must be followed before and after the remediation. The protocol for clean up can vary depending on the amount of damage and the length of time that the body has been unattended.
Several of the requests we receive are also from care managers, helpers or sometimes municipalities asking for help cleaning the dwellings of elderly people who live alone. These individuals usually have huge garbage accumulations. Many of these individuals were men in their 50’s or 60’s with no job or real family to speak of.
Bio Clean Services also provides clean up services in homes of people who have died in facilities, but left their home unattended, full of garbage and have generally unsanitary living conditions. This is common with the elderly and given the unknown circumstances, it is advised that individuals not attempt to clean these areas. These scenes are usually tremendous breeding grounds for biohazards and must be professionally cleaned and decontaminated for the safety of family or property owners.
If you, or someone you know, are in need of our services please contact us immediately. Bio Clean Services offers 24 hour and emergency dispatch in our service areas.

Choosing the RIGHT biohazard clean up company

Having been in the Crime Scene and biohazard clean up industry for over a decade, I’ve personally worked hundreds of clean up scenes. Surprisingly, several of the jobs I’ve performed were as a result of non-reputable cleaning companies who did not follow proper protocols and techniques when cleaning these scenes.
If crime, trauma, suicide and other biohazard scenes are not properly cleaned, weeks, months, and even a year later clients have reported horrible odors, infestations of bugs, stains and other problems that all stem from the fact that the original cleaning company did not properly remediate.
How do you know if you are hiring a legitimate clean up company? Here are a few tips:
1. Work with a reputable provider – Usually law enforcement officials have a point of contact for a local company that can provide quality services.
2. Research multiple companies – There are tons of cleaning companies out there, but you need to make sure the company you choose is certified in biohazard clean up and disposal. In most cases local companies offer better rates and do a better job.
3. Discuss with your insurance company –Call your insurance company immediately to inquire about coverage. Your homeowners insurance may cover all or part of your cleaning service, while you may not be able to immediately find out exactly what the coverage is, you can ask if this is a covered loss. You have the right to choose any company you prefer if this is a covered loss.
4. If your loss is not covered by insurance, speak directly with your clean up company to learn costs, procedures and payment arrangements.
Not all companies are the same. Building a reputation in the biohazard clean up industry takes hard work, dedication and it’s not something that just anyone can do. Bio Clean Services has provided these professional, compassionate services for over a decade throughout the northeastern United States. We’ve worked on hundreds of jobs relating to crime, trauma, suicide, meth labs, hoarding, animals and more. Contact our office immediately if you have a situation that requires this type of cleaning. Never attempt to clean these scenes on your own. It will put your health and the health of others at a much greater risk.
