Crime Scene Cleanup Detroit, MI

Bio Clean Services has been providing Crime Scene Cleanup in Detroit, MI and surrounding cities for decades.  Crime Scene Investigations are much more complex than what most of us see on popular television shows like “CSI”.

When a crime occurs, responders who perform the investigation appear and isolate the crime scene to look for evidence.  This process can take hours, days or even weeks depending on the nature of the crime. Investigators sometimes comb every inch of a scene looking for evidence that will help prove what actually happened, especially if there are no witnesses to the crime. In searching for these clues the potential for scattering dangerous biohazards occurs. In some instances, what starts off being a small area can become an expanded scene with many different types of biohazards.

If blood or other bodily fluids are present as a result of a crime, the chances of spreading biohazards to other parts of the scene are likely.  Pathogens from a crime scene can be redistributed by footsteps, medical waste being moved, dried blood becoming airborne particles and more.  These types of scenes need professional crime scene cleanup services provided by Bio Clean Services.  Once investigators and emergency personnel have completed their investigation, the scenes are usually then turned over to the person who owns the scene or a friend or family member.

Investigators and emergency responders do not clean up these crime scenes. If you are not experienced in crime scene biohazard cleanup, call the professionals at Bio Clean Services. We maintain all of the necessary equipment and certifications to perform safe, thorough crime scene cleanup in Detroit or surrounding areas.  Even if the crime scene doesn’t appear to have biohazards, fingerprint dust and other methods used for the purpose of investigating a crime scene may be potentially harmful. Bio Clean Service technicians are experienced in the safe cleanup and remediation of crime scenes and through the use of specialized equipment and cleaning process are able to discover even trace elements of biohazards that may not be visible to the human eye.

It is not possible for untrained individuals to know about all of the possibilities of biohazards associated with crime scene cleanup. The services we provide are meant to help protect you and others who may be involved with these types of scenes.

Through use of special equipment and industrial cleaning techniques, Bio Clean Services can safely restore your biohazard or trauma scene to its original condition. Frequently, when an accident or trauma occurs the party responsible for cleanup doesn’t realize that there are most likely biohazards that can be harmful to themselves and others if not properly handled.  Our job is to access the site for these potentially harmful biohazards and remediate the area to a clean and sanitized environment.

Illegal drug biohazard cleanup

Illegal drug usage have become a common problem in most cities in the United States. With usage at an all time high, the risk of dangerous biohazards are prevalent where illegal drug usage occurs. Bio Clean Services provides biohazard removal and disposal services for meth labs, illegal drug dumping and other crime related biohazard cleanup.

In cases where illegal drugs are being manufactured, as in meth labs, there is a much greater risk for infectious diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C. Often times, the places where these illegal drugs are manufactured are also where they are used and sold. These common areas of drug users house a variety of chemicals, used needles that have been shared and other items that breed infectious hazards.

Bio Clean Services technicians are experienced in the cleanup and removal of these hazards and we maintain the proper credentials for handling and disposal of the biohazard waste that is cleaned up. If you are experiencing a problem with illegal drug manufacturing or usage in a property that you own, contact us for assistance with proper cleanup. Do not attempt to clean up these types of biohazard areas on your own.  Some pathogens are airborne and simply breathing air from an infected area is enough to cause huge compromises to your health.

Our services are endorsed by Police Departments and we offer emergency dispatch services to assist you in completely removing all forms of biohazard from your property. Do not put your health or the health of others at risk. Hire a professional to make certain you have no lingering liabilities from this situation.

TV news reporter, cameraman are fatally shot during live broadcast

This is a headline that no one should ever have to see, especially the victim’s family members.  This headline has made national news recently and is exactly what happened to TV Reporter Alison Parker and her cameraman Adam Ward form WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia.

Bio Clean Services provides cleanup of biohazards from scenes such violent gun crimes, murders, suicides and other traumatic events. During the course of the investigation, it has been suggested that the victim’s attacker suffered from some form of mental illness. Although the exact reason why this tragedy occurred is not known, we can confirm that may homicide, violent death or suicide cleanup jobs we perform have some link to a mental illness, the medications associated with mental illness or both.

Because of increasing cases of guns associated with violent crimes, many Americans have stepped forward to change the way our country handles laws concerning the purchase and ownership of firearms. Bio Clean Services has responded to hundreds of calls from distraught family members who are faced with the responsibility of cleaning these types of biohazard scenes.  Death from guns or any means have a high potential for the transmission of disease and other health compromises to untrained people who are involved in an active crime scene that requires cleanup.

It is never suggested that anyone without proper training and equipment attempt to clean a crime scene or death scene on their own. Trust a certified biohazard remediation company like Bio Clean Services to perform a safe, professional and proper cleanup.

Every State regulates the cleanup, removal and disposal of biohazard waste and enforce strict penalties to anyone involved in an improper cleanup. Biohazards from the human body can remain in a dangerous state for weeks to sometimes months after a traumatic event occurs.  If you are faced with the responsibility of re-mediating a trauma, crime, death or suicide scene contact our office immediately for assistance. We provide 24/7 emergency response to assist victims of crime and tragedy.

Dangers associated with Violent Crime Cleanup inside a structure

Any tissue or bodily fluid is classified as a biohazard per Federal regulations.  Whenever a violent crime occurs within a building, or when a body begins to decompose within its interior, the surrounding building materials become contaminated with a variety of toxic agents. For example, blood stains on the carpet typically soak through the carpet and seep into the flooring beneath.  Effective environmental cleaning not only removes the biohazard from the carpet, but also from its supporting under structure.   Bio Clean Services is experienced in following all biohazard remediation protocols. We are trained to completely remediate any biohazards associated with the cleanup and remediation of Crime Scenes.

Special equipment, such as protective gear, must be worn by out trained technicians in order to protect them from the hazardous materials they are handling. Diseases such as the Flu, including Type A and H1N1, HIV/AIDS, Type A and B Hepatitis, TB, Cholera, and Salmonella are all diseases that can be transmitted from bodily fluids.  These fluids escape into the environment any time a body decomposes, whether a person commits suicide, is murdered, or suffers some type of tragic, accidental death.

Because of these dangers, Bio Clean Services suggests that untrained individuals never attempt to cleanup a crime scene that involves biohazards. If you attempt to clean a biohazard scene and it’s not done properly, you may be held liable for procedures that weren’t followed and any health compromises caused to others as a result. The unknown potential dangers alone are enough to not attempt to do this on your own.

If you find yourself faced with the responsibility of cleanup from death, trauma or a violent crime, trust the professionals at Bio Clean Services to perform these services. We maintain all proper training, permits and have the equipment necessary to completely restore a biohazard scene to a safe environment.  Contact us today for more information on how we can protect you.

Choosing the best Biohazard Cleanup Company

When choosing a biohazard cleanup company it’s imperative that you seek companies that are compliant with OSHA, EPA and State Environmental Agencies. Reputable companies like Bio Clean Services maintain all certifications necessary for the cleanup, removal and disposal of biohazard materials from Death, Crime, Suicide and other Traumatic Events.

OSHA compliance simply means that the biohazard cleanup company adheres to the regulations in place to prevent injury and potential liability to all involved. Bio Clean Services technicians are trained to handle cleanup of bloodborne pathogens and other potentially harmful biohazards. We use personal protective equipment and follow these regulations during a cleanup process.

Anytime there is the need for handling and disposal of biohazard, medial and bloodborne pathogen waste, there are certain Federal and State regulations that must be followed.  Not all biohazard cleanup companies are licensed to transport or handle these wastes so it’s essential that you understand if the company you choose is able to comply with these regulations.  Cleanup companies, as well as property owners can incur hefty fines for improper cleanup, handling and disposal of biohazard wastes.

In any form of biohazard cleanup, the company you choose must be trained in the proper use of equipment and cleaning agents that will help remediate a scene to a safe environment free of any biohazards. Even simple errors like improper dilution of cleaning agents can cause certain biohazards to remain active for days to even weeks after an incident occurs.

If you experience a death, violent crime, suicide or other traumatic incident that requires bioremediation, make certain the company you choose is able to deliver the proper information about their certifications, permits and other credentials that will prove to you they are capable of effectively performing the cleanup you need.  Bio Clean Services readily provides all information necessary to help ensure the property owner that our cleanup services will be performed correctly.

Contact us for more information on the services we offer and how we can assist you with your biohazard cleanup needs.

Bihazard Waste Disposal Services

Most people recognize that there are proper procedures that must be followed in transporting and discarding of medical waste.  Occasionally there are some that either choose to ignore the procedures or are simply not educated on the disposal process and don’t realize they are doing anything wrong.

Bio Clean Services provides commercial and residential cleanup services for death, crime, trauma, suicide and other biohazard incidents. Almost every clean up job that we perform contains biohazard waste that much be properly contained, transported and disposed of.  Regulations for biohazard protocols vary by state and can carry sever fines and penalties if not followed.

What you see in this article image is never the proper way to dispose of biohazard waste. Luckily, in this instance, these bags contain regular trash and paper from an office. You should never use biohazard waste bags as normal trash bags.  Red bags marked with a biohazard emblem found like this should be reported to the local health authorities who will investigate to determine who is responsible for the improper disposal and what type of biohazards they actually are.

Biomedical waste is any liquid or solid waste that may present a threat of infection to humans. Liquid waste includes blood and other body fluids from humans. Solid waste includes clothing, towels, rags, sheets, gloves, plastic bags, or any objects soiled with blood, or other body fluids. When biohazard waste is improperly managed , it places sanitation workers and the general public at risk for contracting dangerous diseases. We take every precaution and are certified in the handling, transporting and disposal of biohazard waste

We always suggest that you never attempt to clean these types of scenes yourself as there are very high chances that these scenes contain blood and other pathogens that can be extremely harmful if you come in contact with them.  Most state regulations suggest that you contact a biohazard clean up provider like Bio Clean Services to assist you.

If you see disposal like the one pictured above, or suspect that someone is illegally disposing biohazard materials, we urge you to contact your local health agency (health department) or contact our office to report it.  If this type of disposal process continues, you may be placing your health and the health of others in jeopardy.

Death of children from being locked in hot car

Summertime temperatures in every region of our country have risen over the past several years. With global warming and other environmental elements, the temperatures seem to show a steady increase.  Double the hot temperatures and an automobile with windows rolled up and you have a fatal scenario for children and even elderly that are left alone in hot cars. If an average outside temperature is 90 degrees in a closed car it can reach in excess of 110 degrees in as little as 30 minutes. Children, elderly and even pets left alone in a closed car in this extreme heat are literally dying from heat strokes.

Bio Clean Services provides cleanup services for death, crime, trauma, suicide and many other biohazard incidents.  We receive calls frequently for cleanup of automobiles that contain biohazards from blood and other potentially dangerous bodily fluids after someone had been in an accident, committed suicide or expired in a vehicle.

There are currently huge controversies all across our nation regarding parents and caregivers leaving children in locked cars during extreme heat.  Not that it’s acceptable to do it at all (most people’s opinion), but  there is too much public media and awareness of this for someone to claim they didn’t know. In most cases it is later determined that the parent or caregiver was suffering from emotional disorders, addictions and other problematic scenarios that attributed to the death of these victims.

Bio Clean Services is experienced in cleanup of aftermath from biohazard scenes like this. Our company is certified and licensed for biohazard handling and disposal. Our teams consist of discreet, compassionate professionals who are experienced in dealing with clients during the cleanup of traumatic events and death scenesServicing Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia, we are able to provide emergency dispatch to a large area to meet our client’s needs.

Trauma Scene Cleaning and the dangers involved

Trauma happens to everyone at one point during their life, but what happens when the traumatic scenes leave behind biohazard waste that must be cleaned and removed? Bio Clean Services provides certified biohazard cleanup for Trauma, Death, Suicide, Crime and many other scenes that contain potentially dangerous biohazards.

When a trauma occurs, especially with the presence of blood, emergency professionals and police departments do not clean up the aftermath of the trauma scene. That responsibility is left to a family member of the victim or the property owner. These types of dangerous scene cleanups should never be performed by an untrained individual. As a certified biohazard cleaning and removal company, we provide these services to assist the victim’s family members or the property owners to ensure proper cleanup and remediation of the scene where the trauma occurred.

Every State has different protocol for the cleanup and removal/disposal of biohazard waste and materials. Our company is certified to follow these protocols and all technicians are trained to protect our clients and return the scene to a safe condition as soon as possible. If an individual were to attempt to clean and dispose of biohazards they are putting themselves and others at risk for potential infections or health compromises. They may also be subject to fines imposed by their municipality for the improper cleanup and disposal.

Often times the health conditions of these victims are not known or the scenes are too emotionally overwhelming for the victim’s family members or property owners to deal with. Bio Clean Services provides these services on a daily basis. Over the course of the past decade, there are very few types of biohazard scenes that we haven’t cleaned up.

If you, or someone you know has experienced a trauma, discovered an unattended death or crime scene that contains biohazards and requires cleanup it’s imperative that you contact our office immediately for assistance.  We are experts in insurance billing and utilization of other community resources that can assist with payment for our services. Don’t put yourself or others at risk due to your inability to pay. Your protection is our main concern.

Fingerprint Dust Biohazard Cleanup

If you are the victim of a crime, you’ll have enough to worry about just dealing with the trauma and details after the police and investigators leave.  Some forces employ professional crime scene cleaners like Bio Clean Services to clean the aftermath of a crime however often times it’s left up to the victims themselves to clean.

Depending on the type of crime the scene may have hidden biohazards that most untrained people would not think about.  If it’s a violent crime scene, there is usually a presence of blood or other bodily fluids that can be transferred to various areas of the scene in the process of investigators dusting for prints. The dusting powder used leaves residue on everything in the area. Carpets, furniture and other elements like doors, windows and walls are often covered with residue.  Although very difficult to clean and properly remove, Bio Clean Services utilizes industrial solutions and various equipment to remediate crime scenes. We ensure your property will be returned to a sanitized pre-incident state.

If there is a presence of blood or other bodily fluids, we advise you not to attempt to clean the scene on your own.  Blood and other fluids, once dried, can become airborne and molecules can attach to the fingerprint dust. This means that these areas may potentially contain deadly bio-organisms that can be easily ingested with dust particles in the air or may adhere to clothing or other fabrics and transferred to other areas or people. This type of clean up generally requires a professional company that can remove and dispose of all biohazard waste the proper way. We are a certified biohazard removal company and possess the necessary permits and experience to properly clean and sanitize your property so it’s free from all biohazards.

If you have been the victim of a crime or know someone who is required to clean up a crime, death or suicide scene, contact our office immediately so we can help access the scene and provide you with protection from these dangerous biohazards. We offer 24 hour emergency dispatch services and guarantee that your property will be restored to a safe environment efficiently.

Crime Scene Cleanup Services

Bio Clean Services provides Crime Scene Cleaning and the removal of biohazards and waste in West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan & Pennsylvania. As we’ve stated in previous posts, the site of a messy death poses severe danger that you can’t always visually see. Blood-borne pathogens from these scenes can cause infections affect someone for months or years later if not properly cleaned and decontaminated.

Depending on the severity of the death scene, clean up can range from only a couple of hours to 40 or more hours.  The Bio Clean Services technicians have to make certain that the areas are truly clean and properly disinfected, not just apparently clean on the surface. This is equally true of crime scenes, unattended and decomposing death scenes or suicides.

After death, the body swells, insects invade the body, organs self digest and the skin becomes liquefied.  Decomposing bodies expel ammonia gases that create an intense, unforgettable odor. Proper precautions need to be taken in cleaning of these scenes so pathogens are not ingested and the person cleaning the scene doesn’t come into direct contact with any substances or infectious remains.  It is not suggested that a family member, friend or any untrained professional attempt to clean this type of scene.

Bio Clean Services technicians utilize hospital grade disinfectant to clean blood, matter and other materials from walls, ceilings, surfaces, fixtures and any contents contained in the affected area. This also can include the removal of blood-soaked carpeting and rugs, walls, flooring, furniture and any porous components that these biohazards cannot be removed from.  Special permits must be obtained and special handling for the disposal of these items must be adhered to.  These are not tasks that an ordinary individual would know.  You cannot simply discard these materials in a dumpster or trash bin because of the potential risk of infection to others, or possibly death not to mention the legal ramifications and fines from authorities if it’s discovered.

Contact a Bio Clean Services representative today for specific information on how we can be of assistance with your Crime, Death or biohazard clean up.

Odor Removal from Death Scene Cleanup

Bio Clean Services is frequently called to clean up after an unattended death or suicide and one of the very first questions we’re always asked is, “Can you get rid of this odor completely?”  The answer is yes however, several factors will determine the amount of time and work necessary to remediate these odors and return the scene to a clean, sanitary environment.

What we’ll need to know:

1.    Were did the death occur, and what elements are directly connected to the death scene?  For instance, did the person die in a bed, on a carpeted floor, in a bathtub or a car?  Death clean up requires decontamination of furniture, flooring, fabrics and virtually any porous surfaces related to the scene.  In certain cases, it may also be necessary to remove and replace walls, ceilings, sub-flooring and possibly insulation.

2.    How long has it been since the death occurred? If the death was an accident, suicide or an elderly person and not discovered immediately, the cleanup process is more entailed as most likely decomposition has started. We would need to follow specific cleaning processes using chemicals, antimicrobial cleaners and ozone or neutralizing agents. Ozone is commonly used in death cleanup because of it’s quick reaction to carbon based molecules associated with death odors. It’s a highly useful tool but not a guarantee that it will completely get rid of the odor.

At Bio Clean Services, we take every measure to safe and effectively remediate these scenes with as minimal disruption as possible. Our cleanup technicians are trained to provide our clients with the emotional support needed during these types of tasks. The unattended death of a friend or loved one is never something that anyone is prepared to handle. The emotions and questions that are brought on by this tragic event can make it difficult to determine what to do next.

Our goal is to offer clients the assurance that our work will completely restore the scene to a pre-incident condition and we are dedicated to the protection and safety of our clients. Hiring the proper cleanup company is difficult, after we analyze the scene, we provide a full plan of action and work directly with our clients through each step of the process.  Contact us today for more information about the services we offer.

Suicide Cleanup Lansing, MI

Suicide is often the proverbial “elephant in the room” that everyone would rather ignore than talk about. There are over one million suicides worldwide each year, each leaving behind at least 6 and often 10 or more survivors to deal with the aftermath. Bio Clean Services provides death and suicide scene cleanup in Lansing, MI and surrounding areas.

About 45,000 suicides occur in the United States alone making that about one every 13 minutes. Statistics show that suicide will claim more lives than people who die from HIV or by homicides. Bio Clean Services provides certified biohazard cleanup for death and suicide to assist survivors. After a suicide it’s the survivors of the victim that are responsible for the cleanup of the scene. Suicide scenes can cause extreme emotional distress on the survivors and present a wide array of biohazards that, if not properly cleaned up, can cause major health compromises and futuristic problems with odors, bugs and other unpleasant experiences causing the emotional turmoil to continue.

Suicide scene cleanup requires special protocols, equipment and industrial chemicals that are not available to ordinary consumers. Many of these cleanup protocols require special certifications which are necessary in our assuring clients that the scene will be returned to a safe, habitable state. Our team of dedicated professionals work discreetly with the survivors to help manage the traumatic experience, protect their health and safety and restore the scene as quickly as possible.

If you or someone you know face having to deal with the aftermath of a loved one’s suicide, please contact out staff immediately for professional suicide cleanup services.  Emergency personnel and investigators typically leave the cleanup details to the survivors. They do not clean suicide scenes and in certain cases also do not suggest professional death and biohazard cleanup companies.  Make certain you only hire a company that is certified in biohazard cleanup and removal to assist you with cleaning a suicide scene.

Blood Cleanup Services Detroit, MI

Blood, when outside the human body, can pose a huge risk for compromising the health of anyone who comes into contact.  Once blood begins to dry, it becomes flaky and can very easily become airborne. Dried blood still may contain bacterial elements and infectious diseases that are very capable of living outside the human body for long periods of time. Bio Clean Services is a certified blood and biohazard cleanup company providing blood cleanup services in Detroit MI.

In most cases, blood cleanup services are needed as a result of a death, violent crime or other traumatic event. When these types of events happen, it is probable that investigative procedures are followed and emergency medical personnel are present. Investigations, while necessary, can also cause the spread of dangerous biohazards as blood can be redistributed to other areas outside of the initial trauma scene.  The same is true for emergency personnel. When emergency responders have left the scene, they rarely worry about the elements left at a scene. The primary focus is saving lives so often you’ll find medical waste and other elements scattered around the scene where blood is present. If the blood contains infectious diseases o other harmful elements, they can be carried to other areas by footsteps, waste and even liquids and other solutions used that may carry blood away from the scene.

Bio Clean Services provides certified blood cleanup services in Detroit to protect you and others  related to the scene from harmful biohazards that may potentially compromise your health. We secure biohazard scenes and make certain that all traces of biohazards and harmful elements are removed and that the scene is restored to a pre-incident condition.

If you experience a blood or biohazard scene, do not attempt to clean the area yourself. The risks are too great and you can potentially endanger yourself and others. Contact us immediately for our blood cleanup services. We offer insurance communication assistance and 24 hour emergency dispatch to our clients.

Jail Cell Cleanup Morgantown, WV

Bio Clean Services has been providing biohazard and jail cell cleanup services in Morgantown, WV for almost a decade. Over the past several years safe cleanup practices for jail cell and police holding cells has been the center of controversy. Who is responsible for the cleanup and removal of biohazards associated with jails, police holding cells or police department vehicles? Protocol for these biohazard cleanup services vary depending on states.

Due to increased amounts of health risks stemming from biohazards found in most of these areas, many police departments have chosen to hire professional biohazard cleaning services to perform jail cell cleanup and proper cleaning of police cruisers and other affected areas.  These areas frequently contain blood, urine, vomit and other biohazard materials that can be a potential hazard to the health of others who come in contact with these areas.

Bio Clean Services maintains all of the necessary permits and certifications to perform proper jail and police department cleanup services in Morgantown. In addition to these services, we are experienced in the cleanup of all crime, death and trauma scenes that contain potentially dangerous biohazards.  Some municipalities still enlist inmates to perform the cleanup and removal of these biohazard materials. We never suggest that inexperienced persons attempt to clean a biohazard scene. Inadequate cleanup of certain pathogens found in blood and other bodily fluids can linger for weeks to months after an event occurs.

Unfortunately, in most cases the health conditions of the person(s) associated with the biohazards is not known. Mainly because of this, it is advised to hire a certified biohazard cleanup company like Bio Clean Services to protect inmates, personnel and anyone who may come in contact directly or indirectly with the areas where these biohazards were present.

If you are a law enforcement professional, or a victim of Crime or a Tragedy in Morgantown, WV, contact us immediately for professional biohazard cleanup. We currently cover a four state region with 24 hour emergency dispatch to assist with your biohazard cleanup needs.
