Death Decomposition Cleanup Service

Bio Clean Services provides biohazard cleanup of decomposing death scenes in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.  When someone dies, the body goes through many rapid changes and the decomposition process starts almost immediately.

When a person’s heart stops beating the cells and tissues stop receiving oxygen. Brain cells are the first to die, usually within seven minutes after the heart stops (bone and skin cells can survive for several days). Blood begins to drain and pool in lower-lying portions of the body. This pooling causes blood leakage that requires professional death scene cleanup. As a body’s cells die, bacteria begins to break them down causing the appearance of the body to change dramatically and smell.  Decomposing death cleanup requires biohazard remediation practices that should only be performed by professionally trained company.

Once the body is well into the decomposition process, insects are usually present. These insects not only feed on the decomposing body but are able to multiply in mass quantity. This is especially dangerous because these insects can carry contaminated biohazards to other areas and potentially other people.  If you are unfamiliar with cleanup practices for a death scene you are putting yourself and others at risk for possible contamination. If skin and bone cells can live for several days after death, that means the bacterial and other potentially dangerous pathogens can live even longer.

Because of the location, it’s very common to receive calls for decomposition cleanup services all throughout our service areas.  Many of the rural areas experience increased numbers of people dying at home who many not be found for some time after they’ve died.  Discovering someone’s death is traumatic enough, but an untrained individual attempting to deal with the cleanup of a decomposing body is most often more than they can emotionally handle.

If you find yourself being responsible for the cleanup of a friend or loved one, contact the professionals at Bio Clean Services. We provide 24 hour emergency dispatch for death and decomposition cleanup service. Our technicians are professional and compassionate and have experience in dealing with the emotional aftermath experienced by our clients.

Ohio Death Cleanup Services

Bio Clean Services offers death and body decomposition (unattended death) cleaning for Cleveland, Ohio and surrounding cities. Bio Clean Technicians are experienced in removal, sanitizing, decontamination and deodorizing sites where deaths have occurred.

Cleaning death scenes can be a difficult task but our technicians maintain the certifications and professional equipment necessary to perform death scene cleanup services in Cleveland.  Death sites that require professional biohazard cleanup are common in the Cleveland area, many of which are also unattended death scenes or sites where a death had been undiscovered for several days or weeks.

When a person dies and the heart stops pumping, the cells in the body begin to die from lack of oxygen and the decaying process immediately begins.  Death leads to rapid changes in the appearance of a body and the body can become unrecognizable in a very short time if not discovered.  After death the body will also release toxins and bacteria that create horrific odors and become airborne pathogens that are harmful to anyone coming into contact with them. These pathogens and bacteria are easily spread and are in most cases not visible to the human eye or an untrained person.  Improper cleanup practices can create potential health hazards in death scenes for weeks to even months after the death has occurred.

Because the risks of biohazard contamination are so high and the emotional trauma can be damaging to friends or family members of the deceased you should never attempt death scene cleanup on your own. Hire a professional company like Bio Clean Services.  Our team can remediate the areas directly affected by the death scene with our certified biohazard cleaning techniques.  Our death scene cleanup services ensure that any health risks associated with blood or biohazards are eliminated. We guarantee all services.

If you or someone you know is in need of death or unattended death cleanup services in Cleveland, contact our office immediately for assistance. We are trained to handle all aspects of Cleveland Death Cleanup and help protect our clients from possible exposure or health risks related to these scenes.

Death Scene Cleanup and Biohazards

Any time someone dies it can be a difficult and emotional time. It’s even harder if the body was unattended at the time of death as it only adds complication and trauma to the situation.  If you happen to be the unfortunate one to discover the death, it’s important to know that you need a professional biohazard cleaning service.

Unattended death can be a very hazardous situation.  Most often times the scene contains urine, feces, blood and other bodily fluids and all are in a state of decomposition.  This poses an extreme risk of exposure to infectious diseases and individuals who are not properly trained can be exposed to infectious diseases.  Decomposing body fluids can contain germs, active disease and bacteria for a  very long time.  Even if an untrained cleaner wasn’t exposed to these elements, the EPA and OSHA have strict regulations on the cleaning and disposal of these types of bio-hazardous materials.

It is also common for the scene of an unattended death to have extreme odors that will remain even after removing the body.  These odors cannot be extinguished by ordinary household cleaners. These household cleaners will mask the odor temporarily only for them to return a few hours later.  Bio Clean Services utilizes equipment to permanently remove these odors from effected materials. The chemicals we use are designed to neutralize odors at the molecular level so they won’t return.  We are also dedicated to ensuring the safety of anyone associated with this type of scene.  We cannot stress how important it is to hire a professional biohazard clean up company to perform this work.

Bio Clean Services is fully equipped to handle unattended death clean up scenes. We maintain the equipment and advanced training to properly handle the scene of an unattended death.  Our cleaning technicians are professional and have the utmost compassion when dealing with the details of these tasks. We understand what a difficult time it is and work efficiently to clean and restore a home to its original state.  Bio Clean Services also offers additional services that can assist you in cleaning debris, clutter and other items from these scenes.  Please contact us for more details.

Blood Cleanup Procedures

Blood and other bodily fluid spills that occur inside or in an outside environment need to be decontaminated to prevent the possible transmission of communicable disease and other health risks. Bio Clean Services provides blood cleanup and other biohazard decontamination services in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Even a tiny drop of blood, if splashed, can cover a large surface area so it’s important that you hire a professional biohazard cleanup company to assist you in restoring the site to completely safe condition quickly. Our technicians maintain specific bloodborne pathogen training and are familiar with the practices of safe biohazard handling and removal.

We frequently receive calls related to death, trauma, suicide and even violent crime scenes that contain the presence of blood and other biohazards. Once investigators or emergency personnel leave the site, it then becomes the property owners responsibility to have the aftermath cleaned up. Police and emergency personnel do not clean these area. They often times leave behind medical waste, blood soaked materials, fingerprint dust, luminal and other materials used in their investigation or on site treatment. Bio Clean Services offers 24 hour emergency dispatch to help clients who are in need of biohazard decontamination.

These sites should not be cleaned using normal household chemicals. Chemicals not designed for biohazard cleanup can actually make the site much harder for professionals to re-clean. Our technicians work with specific equipment that will detect even the smallest traces of blood and we make certain that the scenes are completely free from any biohazard materials that could potentially affect the health of others.  This diminishes the risk of potential transmission of diseases and the liability of the property owner for not having it properly cleaned.

If you or someone you know has experienced an accident or traumatic event that requires biohazard cleanup, contact our office immediately for assistance.  We are familiar with all Federal and State biohazard cleanup regulations and can offer our assistance in helping file insurance and other financial assistance claims.

Providing Trauma and Accident Scene Cleanup Services

When it is necessary to remediate an accident or trauma site, it’s important that you hire a professional biohazard cleanup company like Bio Clean Services. With over a decade of experience in biohazard cleaning and material handling, we are ready to assist you 24/7 in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.

Bio Clean Services performs biohazard cleanup for the following accident or trauma sites:

WORKPLACE ACCIDENT CLEANUP

When accidents occur at the workplace they usually result in extensive damages and pose immediate health risks to others associated with the trauma site. Our technicians work discreetly to remediate the site following strict OSHA guidelines and protocols set by State and Federal agencies. Cleanup teams are compassionate and experienced in working in workplace environments.

ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND SUICIDE CLEANUP

Traumatic death is emotionally overwhelming to the victims families and loved ones. These types of death sites pose a high risk of infectious disease and other biohazard contaminations from the presence of blood, bodily fluids and the microorganisms that are associated with decomposition. We suggest that you always hire a licensed professional company like Bio Clean Services  to perform these tasks. We maintain necessary equipment and use industrial chemicals to help clean and remediate the site. Household products used in this type of cleanup can only temporarily mask the biohazards that remain putting property owners and others health in jeopardy.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT CLEANUP

Traffic accidents occur frequently and most always require some form of biohazard cleaning. Some accidents are fatal, others leave the victims critically injured. Emergency response personnel arrive at accident scenes and once they’re gone, usually leave behind medical waste and other materials that contain biohazards. Since the injured person’s medical conditions are not known, there is a high risk for potential transmission of infectious diseases and other microorganisms that can be harmful to someone’s health if not handled properly.  Our technicians also provide vehicle cleaning services to remove blood and other materials from automobiles involved in accidents.  If these vehicles are not properly cleaned the owner can experience terrible odors, bugs and other types of health risks associated from an improper cleanup.

Bio Clean Services provides many other biohazard services as well, please visit our website at www.biocleanservices.com for complete information or contact our office to get immediate assistance in cleaning your biohazard site.

Violent Crimes and Carjacking Biohazards

Courtesy of Chicago News Report
Over the past decade violent carjacking crimes have steadily been on the rise. Bio Clean Services provides cleanup services for death, trauma, crime, suicide and many other biohazard incidents.  These violent carjacking crimes frequently require cleanup from gunshots and other bodily injuries where there is a presence of blood and bodily fluids.  Our technicians are experienced in the cleanup and decontamination of blood from these vehicles, returning them to a pre-incident state. We are certified and trained in the removal and disposal of most biohazards and follow strict Federal and State regulations associated with biohazard handling.

Often times with automobile crimes we find that we have to remove and replace parts of the automobile to ensure that the vehicle is completely free of all biohazard materials. This may include removal and replacement of seats, carpeting, dashes, consoles and other pieces. If as little as one or two tiny blood drops are missed during the cleanup may cause infectious pathogens that can affect the health of anyone that may come in contact with it. There is also the possibility of bad odors and the attraction of bugs and insects that are extremely difficult to remove.

Bio Clean Services also receives frequent calls to provide the same cleaning and sanitation services on police transport and other emergency vehicles. Any time these transport vehicles contain biohazards such as blood, vomit, feces, urine or other biohazards, they must be removed from service and properly cleaned and sanitized before they can be used again.  Police and other emergency departments are now employing professional companies like ours to perform these cleanup services as it is too costly to maintain personnel and certifications for staff members to perform the cleanup.  They have also found that there is less liability in hiring a professional cleanup company like Bio Clean Services because we are specifically trained for what we do, maintain all necessary permits and certifications and can offer the assurance that these vehicles are safe and returned to service as quick as possible.

If you or someone you know is the victim of a violent carjacking crime or you need professional biohazard cleanup services, contact our office immediately. We offer 24 hour emergency dispatch to serve our clients.

What happens if a crime or death scene is not properly cleaned?

Bio Clean Services performs certified, professional biohazard cleanup services in a four state region covering Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.  Several calls we receive are from clients who, after a traumatic incident, death in their home or illegal drug activity, are experiencing horrific odors and other issues.

It’s imperative that anyone who is responsible for having to clean up after a crime, death, trauma or suicide scene contact a professional company like Bio Clean Services.  We maintain the proper certifications and are experienced in the proper remediation of all sorts of biohazards.  Every state is different however, each state requires certification for the proper disposal of biohazard waste and contaminated materials. We maintain those certifications and permits.

Almost every call we receive from clients who have attempted to clean an incident scene is because of odor or bugs. If these scenes (which almost all do) contain blood, bodily fluids and other pathogens that can’t always be seen with the human eye, then it’s nearly impossible for an untrained individual to clean using normal household chemicals. Bio Clean Services uses EPA approved industrial strength chemicals and equipment to ensure that all traced of biohazards have been removed from the scene.  If these elements are not properly cleaned and all biohazards removed, there will most definitely be horrific odors, bugs and a breeding ground for other infectious diseases to grow.

One example that we like to explain to our clients it a small 4 inch diameter blood stain on a floor when uncovered can expose blood biohazards in mass quantity underneath. This means carpet cleaning and other methods can not possibly extract all of the biohazards. The elements must be removed and disposed.  It is often necessary to remove all carpeting, subflooring and even portions of walls or furniture that are in contact with the biohazards. Removal is the only way to ensure that the areas are returned to a safe, sanitized environment.
If you are the person responsible for cleanup of these types of scenes, call us immediately to employ our services. Failure to properly clean a biohazard scene can have serious liability issues and may be dangerous to your health or possibly fatal.

Construction accident cleanup calls are frequent for biohazard cleanup companies

Construction in our country is always in high demand. Whether commercial or residential, large or small, this industry has always been in the top percentile of workplace accidents and many contain some form of biohazard issues that must be professionally cleaned up to avoid liability.

Bio Clean Services serves the largest portion of the Northeastern United States and these accident calls are frequent. We are experienced in many forms of workplace accidents including slip n falls, power tool accidents, deaths by heavy equipment and general accidents that have a presence of blood, tissues and bodily fluids.

These accident scenes must be properly cleaned and all biohazards removed to protect other workers and anyone who may come in contact with pathogens or other possible infections materials that may be present.  These scenarios, when not properly cleaned may potentially be a huge liability for the company or property owner of the construction site.  Some pathogens can become airborne and ingested by others and certain infectious diseases and biohazards from blood or bodily fluids can remain present and dangerous for weeks if not months after an accident occurs.

If blood and fluids are present and not properly cleaned and sanitized the smell from this can linger on for months. It’s important that a professional, experienced biohazard clean up company like Bio Clean Services remediate the scene and return it to a safe environment as soon as possible.  We are specifically trained to find elements that cannot be seen with the naked eye and are a certified biohazard waste disposal company.  These certifications are required for the removal and disposal of most any form of biohazards found at a workplace accident

If you own a construction company, please contact our company for more information on the areas that we cover and what you’ll need to do immediately if an accident occurs on your job site.  We offer emergency dispatch services 7 days a week to assist our clients.

Spring fever contribuites to dangerous motorcycle accidents

As we find the weather changing to the springtime we all have missed so much, there is always an increase of motorcycle riding, drinking and mixture of both.  Over the fall and winter months drivers seem to forget to take a second look for bikers and this causes an increased risk for dangerous accidents.

Bio Clean Services begins receiving calls every spring for many many automobile or motorcycle accidents to clean up the accident’s aftermath.  You may not think that it’s a big deal to see blood or tissue and bodily fluids on a busy street or roadway.  Or is it?  After the investigators and emergency professionals leave the scene, what dangers really remain? The presence of blood and other substances, if not properly cleaned from an accident scene can cause a huge risk to others. Spreading of these materials through vehicle spraying can transfer these pathogens and possibly potential infectious materials onto people, other vehicles and even into the cabin air systems of passing vehicles.

We are extensively trained in the clean up and decontamination of accident scenes, death, crime, trauma and many other biohazard scenes. We offer 24 hour emergency dispatch services in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. We are also experienced in the removal, transport and disposal of biohazard waste.  We also provide vehicle clean up for auto accidents and we decontaminate / disinfect emergency transport vehicles to return them to service as soon as possible
.
Our services cover a large 4 state region and we have emergency response units that are readily available to assist our clients with biohazard, trauma and other services.  So, as a reminder, take always take an extra second to look a couple times in both directions, you may think the roadway is clear but motorcyclists can appear in your path within an instant and in most cases these accidents are severe to both drivers.

Ordinary or Biohazard Waste? What you should know

Most people recognize that there are proper procedures that must be followed in transporting and discarding of medical waste.  Occasionally there are some that either choose to ignore the procedures or are simply not educated on the disposal process and don’t realize they are doing anything wrong.

Bio Clean Services provides commercial and residential cleanup services for death, crime, trauma, suicide and other biohazard incidents. Almost every clean up job that we perform contains biohazard waste that much be properly contained, transported and disposed of.  Regulations for biohazard protocols vary by state and can carry sever fines and penalties if not followed.

What you see in this article image is never the proper way to dispose of biohazard waste. Luckily, in this instance, these bags contain regular trash and paper from an office. You should never use biohazard waste bags as normal trash bags.  Red bags marked with a biohazard emblem found like this should be reported to the local health authorities who will investigate to determine who is responsible for the improper disposal and what type of biohazards they actually are.

Biomedical waste is any liquid or solid waste that may present a threat of infection to humans. Liquid waste includes blood and other body fluids from humans. Solid waste includes clothing, towels, rags, sheets, gloves, plastic bags, or any objects soiled with blood, or other body fluids. When biohazard waste is improperly managed , it places sanitation workers and the general public at risk for contracting dangerous diseases. We take every precaution and are certified in the handling, transporting and disposal of biohazard waste.  We always suggest that you never attempt to clean these types of scenes yourself as there are very high chances that these scenes contain blood and other pathogens that can be extremely harmful if you come in contact with them.  Most state regulations suggest that you contact a biohazard clean up provider like Bio Clean Services to assist you.

If you see disposal like the one pictured above, or suspect that someone is illegally disposing biohazard materials, we urge you to contact your local health agency (health department) or contact our office to report it.  If this type of disposal process continues, you may be placing your health and the health of others in jeopardy.

Difficulties in removing odors from crime and death scenes

The removal of odors from homes and buildings is a tedious and often elusive task. Bio Clean Services is trained in odor remediation and disinfecting techniques that will eliminate any trace of odors from these types of scenes.  We are skilled at cleaning odors that arise from many sources such as disaster contaminates, blood and bodily fluids,  unattended death decomposition and others.

Most crime, trauma and death scenes contain trace elements of blood, fluids and tissues that are not seen with the human eye.  If these areas are not properly cleaned, you will have putrid odors that can last for weeks, months or in some cases even years depending on the severity of the scene.  Household cleaning solutions will not clean these areas and do not vacate the smell. They are only a temporary masking of the odors and soon as the chemicals dissipate, the odors will return.

Odor removal involves the following general principles:

• Removing the source of the odor as soon as possible. In certain instances, this may include removal of parts of the structure that are immediately affected by the source.
• Cleaning the affected surfaces and materials.  Every porous surface in the affected area must be properly cleaned and disinfected with commercial chemicals that are specifically used for this type of remediation.
• Use of counteractants to restore the area
• Sealing any surfaces that have been in contact such as flooring, porous surfaces etc; if possible

Bio Clean Services utilizes specialized chemicals and equipment to solve the odor contamination permanently by using specific solutions that chemically bond to odor molecules  in the air and on surfaces.  Our technicians have the knowledge and equipment to apply restoration techniques that return these scenes to their pre-incident condition.

If you are experiencing odors from a crime, trauma or death scene or you need specific help related to these service areas, please contact our office to learn more about the service areas we cover and our certifications.

An alarming rise in suicides of the baby boomers generation, Why?

Numerous factors attribute to the cause of suicides and a large majority would say that it can be attributed to the economic meltdown in our country.  The health and overall fitness of the baby boomer generation has deteriorated greatly and a large number of these statistics indicate that the victims

were medically ill, taking depression medication,  fighting high blood pressure, on disability and overwhelmed with credit card and other types of debt.

General consensus is that the victims life now “Isn’t what they envisioned” it would be at this age. Most of these people were in young adulthood in the 1960’s and 1970’s and that was an era that people were much more in tune with others and people helped other people.  Today, it’s a dog eat dog world motivated by money and the quest to “achieve” and the children and long time friends of the baby boomers are no exception.

The increased suicide rates are ordinarily male, elderly and alone with health and financial issues.  Because of social isolation and the feeling of being alone and abandoned, these victims take their life as they don’t see an importance in “fighting the fight” to survive in the world any longer.

Bio Clean Services gets frequent calls to provide death clean up services for families of suicide victims.  Many of the scenes we’re called to clean are unattended death scenes where no one knew that the victim had been dead for days, and in certain cases weeks to months.  We are certified in these types of cleanup jobs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.

Contact our office today to learn more about the services that our company provides and our service areas. We perform biohazard clean up services in both commercial and residential settings with immediate technician dispatch 7 days per week.
